Shadow Mountain Men's Leadership Team

Pastor Manny Sanchez has been a part of the Shadow Mountain Family for 20 years. He started out as  the young adult pastor and young marrieds pastor, serving in those roles for 10 years.  Then in 2013 God moved in his and his wife, Jennifer’s heart to plant a church in the inner city of San Diego.  He and Jennifer were sent out as Shadow Mountain Church Planters and over those 10 years saw God’s hand move in marvelous ways. Late last year the Lord moved again and Manny accepted the Men’s Pastor role here at Shadow Mountain. 
His passion and desire is to see men of all ages live out their God-given identity and calling through Jesus Christ in every area of their lives.  He believes this can only be done when men commit to a lifelong pursuit of Christ and His word in strong community with other likeminded men.  

He and his wife Jennifer have been married for 22 years and have 4 awesome children - Noelle (16) Luke (13) Levi (10) and Adaleigh (8).  

Ron Thomas was born and raised here in San Diego.  He placed his Faith in Jesus Christ at age of 18. He was working in the aerospace industry until he joined the pastoral staff at Mapleview Baptist Church in Lakeside where he had the joy of serving for 30 years. He stepped down in 2013 and he and his wife Connie moved to Arkansas for 3 ½ years to care for his brother who was stricken with Lou Gehrig’s disease. They returned in 2016 and joined in with Pastor Manny in his church plant in downtown. Ron has also served on staff and currently volunteers with David’s Harp Foundation working with at risk youth in downtown San Diego. 

Ron and Connie were high school sweethearts and have been happily married for 49 years. They have 2 children and 3 grand children. 

Before winning over fans and the judges on Season 11 of The Voice, Michael Sanchez spent nearly two decades developing his signature jazzy vintage sound. Born and raised in San Diego, Michael began singing just after he learned to walk.

Michael serves as one of our amazing worship leaders here at Shadow Mountain.
Michael is happily married to his college sweetheart and is the father of two adorable boys — his biggest fans.
